Buckle up, because we’re about to explore the ins and outs of patience, beauty in the details, hard work, and more. Get ready to rev up your mindset and shift into high gear as we dive into the world of car detailing. Let’s hit the road and discover the surprising wisdom hidden in every gleaming finish and sparkling interior. Let’s go! 🚗💨

  1. Patience is key, duh! Detailing cars requires a lot of time and attention to detail. It teaches you to slow down, take your time, and be patient in order to achieve the best results. Understand this, it takes a car months and sometimes years to need a professional detailer. Cars don’t just get dirty over night. So please, for the love of your grandparents, be patient with our techs as we strive to get your vehicle looking, smelling and feeling Riticulous.
  2. Beauty is in the details (what else were you expecting me to say?) Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make the biggest difference. Paying attention to the little things such as crumbs, fingerprints, smears, and smudges can make a car shine and stand out from the rest.
  3. Hard work pays off (it really doesn’t though) Detailing cars mobile is hard work! However, as a business owner, I understand that I am only limited as a solopreneur. You can kill yourself trying to detail two cars in one day to make a big profit or you can leverage 4 technicians detailing 7 cars in one day to make an even bigger profit. So work hard until you get smarter, or something like that.
  4. Perfection is subjective While you may strive for perfection in detailing a car, it’s important to remember that perfection is subjective. Everyone has their own idea of what “perfect” looks like, and it’s impossible to please everyone. I’ve done jobs that I was dissatisfied with and my customers were ecstatic. I’ve also done jobs where I thought I did a good job and my customer gave me a hard time.
  5. Quality over quantity, duh again! Detailing cars requires attention to quality over quantity. Too many times a detailing company is associated with a car wash. How insulting can one be. Let’s think about this. If it takes two Detail Technicians 2 to 3 hours to detail one vehicle thoroughly, and it takes a car practically less than 5 minutes to run through an automatic car wash, how is that equivalent? You really think the power of technology can replace the quality and attention to detail that a good old homo sapiens can deliver? Not in 2024 it can’t.
  6. Something WILL go wrong Detailing cars often presents unexpected challenges, such as stains, scratches, or odors. It teaches you to think on your feet and come up with creative solutions to solve these problems. I cannot remember a day that was problem free. Whether dealing with the weather, traffic, equipment issues, employee issues, health issues, customer issues, operator error, etc, etc, etc. The problems go on and on. This makes Riticulous the ultimate problem solver.
  7. Pride and joy Detailing cars can be a thankless job, but it teaches you to take pride in your work and find satisfaction in a job well done, even if it goes unnoticed by others. No seriously, if you haven’t left a review yet for Riticulous, you owe 50 pushups by lunchtime. I’ll be expecting video proof. That is all.
